چکیده
We introduce a many-body theory for thermal far-field emission of dipolar dielectric and metallic nanoparticles in the vicinity substrate within framework fluctuational electrodynamics. Our theoretical model includes possibility to define temperatures each nanoparticle, temperature, temperature background radiation, separately. To demonstrate versatility our method, we apply it an exemplary way by discussing radiation four particle assemblies SiC Ag above planar substrate. Furthermore, use discrete dipole approximation determine spherical nanoparticle free space close Finally, calculation sharp Si tip using including near-field scattering as well contribution which is partially blocked serves another example.

Far-field detection of the dipole vortex.
The energy flow lines (field lines of the Poynting vector) of electric dipole radiation exhibit a vortex structure in the near field when the dipole moment of the source is in circular rotation. The spatial extend of this vortex is smaller than a wavelength and may not be observable by a measurement in the near field. We show that the rotation of the field lines close to the source affects the ...
متن کاملFar-field control of radiation from an individual optical nanocavity: analogue to an optical dipole.
We demonstrate long-range control of the radiative lifetime of a silicon optical nanocavity using a metallic atomic force microscope probe. We extract changes in the radiative lifetime from changes in the cavity's transmittivity resulting from probe-cavity interaction over distances of several optical wavelengths. Analogous to atomic systems, the cavity acts as an individual radiating dipole wi...

In the coupled dipole method, a three-dimensional scattering object is discretized over a lattice into a set of polarizable units that are coupled self-consistently. Starting from the volume integral equation for the field, we show that performing the integration of the free-space field susceptibility tensor over the lattice cell dramatically improves the accuracy of the method when the permitt...
